As you may have already heard, the Southend Henry Burgers branch is closing. We have accepted an offer for the site and completion is imminent.
We would like to thank everyone massively for their support and custom over the past two years. It’s a fantastically intimate and atmospheric location, and we would like to wish the new owners good luck with their plans for the site.
This will be our final weekend, so if you want to come and say goodbye at what will forever be our spiritual home, please join us;
Friday 11th March – 12.00 – 11.30
Saturday 12th March – 12.00 – 12.00
Finally, I’d like to personally express my thanks and gratitude to all the staff that have worked with me over the years. Without your help and hard work, I could not have achieved everything thus far.
Now, it’s time to look to the future…
Thank you once again,
Halloween Weekend is incoming…
and to celebrate we’re having a Day of the Dead Festival in Leigh-on-Sea.
Expect Day of the Dead Craft Beers, Boutique Mezcal’s from a wide range of Agave species, a container full of Tequila, and of course a delightful selection of delicious Halloween and Mexican Inspired Cocktails, not forgetting Brooklyn’s Post Road Pumpkin Ale & Beavertown’s Stingy Jack Ale to get you started.
Alongside our regular menu, The Kitchen will be serving Pumpkin Pie’s & slinging out some sleazy Mexican Street Food Classics to keep your strength up while you explore our boozier offerings.
We’ve got a little facebook event here, and if you keep an eye on our instagram we’ll be breaking down the Mezcal’s over the next few days.
We’re hugely excited to have a limited supply of Camden versus Stone & Wood, the latest in the Camden Versus Series. We think it’s fantastic, super light and easy drinking, perfect company for one of our burgers… but enough from us, here’s what Camden have to say.
“We’ve been waiting for ages to do a collaboration beer with these young iconic craft brewers from Australia. When an opportunity finally came up to work together with our old friends, we all jumped on it.
With a nod to only Australian hops, we needed to make sure we got them fresh, so when Stone and Wood’s brewmaster flew over to brew with us, he stowed them away in his luggage to bring them to us. Now that’s fresh!
Using only juicy, fruity hops, expect this to be a fruit explosion with flavours and aromas of mango, pineapple and papaya. This is the perfect summertime drink, bringing Australia to the UK.”
If you fancy a taste get down and see us soon, once it’s gone it’s gone (and it’s fast becoming a staff favourite)
